Hi, I recently upgraded to a Core 8700 and that meant a new motherboard, and new z370 motherboards have no PCI slots, just PCIe. So my Sound Blaster Audigy 2 was useless in the new PC, and I loved its audio quality for music. I purchased an Audigy fx and the thing is CRAP. Sounds like redacted. The onboard AC97 is also subpar because, well, it's 1997 technology. So I need a sound card that's good for music. I didn't blow this money on Bose speakers because I felt like it. I am looking for recommendations for a good two-channel sound card that handles music very well. Suggestions? Please help. Thanks! I didn't find the right solution from the Internet. I'd get a external USB one and by pass the slot issue altogether. Do some research on MAJOR audio improments and pick one that will handle your quality needs.
