I went to see the new X-men movie on opening weekend, and I actually went to the theater in downtown Williamsport! I'll give everyone a moment to catch their breath and allow their hearts to stop palpating. There, better? Yep, my first time in that theater - gas prices have finally broken me I guess. I just couldn't see driving 13 miles to the mall since all I was planning on doing was seeing the movie. If I had some Sam's Club shopping that needed done or had felt like doing other shopping at the mall before or after the show then I would probably have gone to Great Escape. Anyhow it was a good movie, on par with the other X-men movies. However I thought there were a few continuity problems from this film and the others - primarily the Wolverine Origins movie which takes place later than this prequel, but has characters that also appear in the new film, but at different stages in life and such. Overall I enjoyed it, and if you like the comic book movies like X-men, Iron Man, Batman, etc. then you might also like the new one. It had a good story - I like how they tied in the Cuban Missile Crisis.

We went there before Christmas for a matinée. Not much different than the one at the mall. The mall is closer for me. But at 30+ mpg in my Hyundai it's not really that much further if I want to watch something.
