In my neck of the woods (between Montgomery and Dewart), there has been reports of methane in wells dating back 20 years. At one time they were reporting 'clusters' of cancer diagnosis's in the same area. I haven't heard much about it in years. There are no gas wells in our area, so I don't know what may have been attributed to that here.

I’ve often wondered if any of these contaminated wells were tested prior to drilling. If they were clean before drilling and fracking then that’s evidence the gas companies are responsible for the contamination. If they have no history of being tested clean before, then it could be the gas companies are just being deep pocketed scapegoats.
