Does anyone know what happened to the Acme Barbecue that was going to open on John Brady Drive just outside of Muncy?
They got it all ready, then never opened as far as I know.

Finally made it to ACME BBQ in Muncy. After waiting all day for BBQ, I was disappointed. Our pork was dry, the potato salad was salty and my bun was stale and fell apart after the first bite. I was expecting a lot better for $43 for 3 sandwiches, 2 orders of wings and a couple of sides. The only part of the meal I was happy with was the pork rolls (egg rolls with pork and cole slaw) and they were $2 each for two bites. Sorry Acme, I can make my own that's a lot better for a quarter of the price.

Glad to know that Mike, now I don't have to try them to realize I haven't been missing anything.

Phil, to be fair, we first had their BBQ at the Williamsport store and it was fairly decent. Don't know what happened yesterday. Someone has told me that the Country Store serves BBQ. I haven't tried that either. I'm still waiting for the new BBQ joint to open next to Panera Bread in Williamsport.

I was raised in So. Cal. and spent 15 years in So. Ill. and a couple in TX, so I have a different opinion of what good barbeque is than many around here. My first wife moved from here before I met her and always bragged up Henry’s. When we came here on vacation, I finally got to try Henry’s and was disappointed. She also bragged up Tasty Cakes though and she was right about them.
