It's a real shame all the stuff I've seen about the hockey team. Williamsport's citizens do not deserve to be saddled with the burden. I am glad I do not live within their borders. One commenter on a letter to the Editor at the SG had a good point - the Mayor and Council need to stop trying to make Williamsport a tourist destination and start making improvements and good tax decisions to make it a better place to live for the people who actually call it home. They suggested creating a welcoming environment for businesses and businesses will come - no need to bend over or give the shirt off your back to lure a movie theater or department store to locate in town. Make it more hospitable for private developers to want to make an investment.
