Well, they tore down that old building at the foot of Market St. Bridge and the word is that the guy from Loyalsock wants to build some big glass office building in that site on Market St., but made an agreement with the city to wait and let them have the land for a few years to use as a parking lot until the old parking deck on 3rd next to The Cell Block can be razed and a new one built on that site.
So my question is who is paying for all the curbing and landscaping going in on the "Temporary" parking lot? Seems to me a real waste to install curbs and island planter boxes and do a bunch of shrubs and stuff on a lot that is supposed to be all torn up for construction of a huge office building within 3 or 4 years.
